Asphalt Calculator
Estimate asphalt volume, tonnage, truckloads and cost in seconds. Built for EPC teams, road contractors and site engineers who want to eliminate over-ordering and prevent material leakage on paving projects.
Project inputs
Estimated requirement
- Paving area
- 1000.0 m²
- Asphalt volume
- 75.00 m³
- Asphalt required
- 189.00 t
- Estimated truckloads (20 t)
- 9.4
- Estimated material cost
- $16,065
Manual take-offs typically over-order 4–8% on paving. Deepsa AI reconciles BOQ against actual site consumption in real time over SAP, Oracle and Tally — turning that leakage back into margin.
Prevent leakage on your next project →How the calculation works
Asphalt tonnage is derived by multiplying paving area by compacted thickness to get volume, then multiplying by the mix density. A dense-graded hot-mix asphalt averages 2,400 kg/m³ (≈ 145 lb/ft³). A waste allowance covers cutting, edge loss and compaction shrinkage, and truckload count assumes standard 20-tonne dumpers.
Why paving projects leak material
- Manual quantity take-off from drawings introduces 6–12% error.
- Site-level BOQ versus actual consumption is reconciled weeks late — after the pour.
- Legacy SAP Project System, Oracle Primavera and Tally ERP do not talk to the site in real time.
- Autonomous AI orchestration closes the loop between BOQ, procurement and consumption.
